Estanza Support

Estanza helps you record the condition of a rental home at move-in and move-out: guided room checklists, photos, issues, meter readings, keys, a PDF report and zip export. No account is needed, and everything is stored on your iPhone.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your iPhone, inside the app. Estanza has no accounts and no servers holding copies of your photos or reports, and it works offline.

How do I share a report?

Open the inspection, generate the report and tap share. You can send it by Mail or Messages, or save it to Files or send it by AirDrop. You don’t need to complete every room first.

How do I back up my data?

In Properties, long-press or swipe a property, or use its “…” menu, and choose export. You get a zip with the original photos, the reports and an index. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive or another service. We don’t keep copies of your data. Your iPhone’s iCloud backup may also include the app’s data.

Can I move my data to another iPhone?

Estanza doesn’t sync between devices. Export the zip to keep your records. Restoring an iPhone backup to a new device normally restores app data too. [VERIFY with a test before publishing.]

How do I delete my data?

Delete the property from its menu: this removes its inspections, photos and reports. Uninstalling the app removes everything. Files you’ve already shared or exported aren’t deleted; remove them where you saved them.

Why does it ask for camera access?

To photograph rooms, issues, meters and keys. Photos are saved in the app, not in your photo library. You can change this in Settings → Estanza.

Does Estanza use AI?

This version has no AI features. If one is added in future, it will be optional, and we’ll explain it in the app and in the privacy policy before it’s released.

Is the report legally valid?

Estanza is a tool for documenting and organising; it doesn’t provide legal advice. It doesn’t decide who is responsible, what counts as wear and tear, or repair costs, and it doesn’t guarantee the outcome of any deposit agreement or dispute. Each photo’s SHA-256 checksum lets you check that the file hasn’t changed; it isn’t a certification. If you have questions about your tenancy, speak to a qualified adviser.

Which languages are available?

English and Spanish. The app follows your iPhone’s language.
